The story
It happened like a real-life fairy tale. One minute it’s July 2018 and bride Brea Fullerton is wondering how to get a dirty engagement ring to sparkle for her wedding photos, the next it’s November 2021 and Brea’s jewelry-cleaning business, Shinery, is invited to be featured as a Cyber Monday gift on Good Morning America’s Deals and Steals.
Of course, Brea accepts the awesome opportunity. Now all that stands between startup-land and national stardom is a stipulation in the contract requiring Shinery to fulfill approximately 3,000 orders in three days.
Enter: Saltbox. Well, specifically enter Saltbox’s eForce, an elastic workforce capable of just about anything. As a Saltbox member, Brea has access to this on-demand eForce team in addition to her Saltbox warehouse suite and logistics resources to make the GMA event happen. Saltbox makes the hardest parts of running an ecommerce business simple, and Shinery’s appearance on “Good Morning America” is proof of that concept in brilliantly executed action.
“By not having to oversee or assist eForce, I was able to manage the business side of the opportunity, watch our GMA segment, and trust that the fulfillment was in great hands.” - Brea Fullerton, Founder & CEO, Shinery
The results
- A big nod to its products’ popularity, Shinery sold out 2 of 3 SKUs before the GMA Deals & Steals segment even aired.
- The eForce team built 2,000 boxes to prepare for the Shinery GMA event.
- In total, 2,637 orders were processed and shipped, including 5,431 single items picked and packed.
- There were 58 different order combinations, and 10 pallets of orders originating from all 50 states were filled for USPS.
